Hosted in collaboration with our partners RBC, we invite you to attend an evening of networking, growing, and collaborating between Canada's best athletes, and Vancouver's industry leaders.
We invite you to get curious. Who are you without a title? Often, we introduce ourselves as an athlete, or by the role we hold in our current career, but we seldom talk about the values we hold or the impact we make. Have you considered a kind of leadership whereby your identity and value is not anchored in what you do, but who you are? It’s a process of self-discovery where we let our best selves show up regardless of what role or title we hold.
Instead of asking what is your title? Here are some questions to get curious about:
• What excites you most about the work that you do?
• Where do you feel you’re making an impact – why is that important to you?
• What is meaningful about your work?
• What are you especially good at?
• Do you get to use your talents/strengths on a daily basis?
• How is your contribution unique?
• Titles aside, who in the organization has the power to get things done?
• What are some ways you celebrate success?
• What makes a good day for you?
• How do you give and receive feedback?
• Does your work culture allow you to grow?
• In what ways do you feel rewarded through the work you do?
• What kind of flexible work arrangements do people have?
• What makes you proud to work for this company?
